Starbucks House Blend

If you’re a regular of Starbucks then you’re probably familiar with their House blend. I’ve tried it a couple of times and I’d say it’s good. Even though it isn’t one that really stands out as much as the exotic beans, the House blend is still a good coffee to take home.

Taste-wise, the Starbucks House Blend has a bit of bitterness to it that is quite common in dark roasted beans. Most coffee drinkers I know don’t like this facet of the House blend as they were expecting a less bitter-y coffee.

In terms of its aroma, it’s quite pungent. Some people may take the slightly strong aroma as a positive thing, but some people comment that it may be a bit strong for their noses. Personally, though, I enjoy the aroma.

If you are one who’s prone to have upset stomach over acidic beverages, you might want to drink the Starbucks House Blend in moderation. It’s tends to go a bit on the acidic side.

Although most people regard the House Blend as average, I see it as a really great coffee to buy because of its versatility in brewing – French press, drip, or espresso – and it would still come out as the same, delicious drink.

What I like about the Starbucks House Blend is that it’s widely available. You can go to any branch and you’ll be able to grab yourself a bag of this bean blend. Also, since this bean blend isn’t seasonal, you’ll be able to enjoy the Starbucks House Blend the whole year round.

Full-bodied and flavorful, this coffee bean makes for a great drink for that early morning perk we night-owls need during the day. I’d recommend that you grab a bag of Starbucks House Blend and savor its great taste.
