Starbucks Espresso Roast Blend

Don’t you sometimes feel that there are roast that are better off brewed than used in a French Press? Or some beans that would produce a better drink when ran through an espresso machine than a drip coffee machine? Well, that’s the case with the Starbucks Espresso Roast Blend.

As the name suggest, the Espresso Roast Blend was made with one thing in mind – to produce great-tasting cups of espresso that you’ll enjoy over and over again. This blend of Latin American and Asia Pacific coffee beans is roasted darker than normal to produce a caramel-y sweet taste that I enjoyed with this specialty roast.

I’ve heard people complain about the Espresso Roast Blend not doing well in a drip machine. Now, I don’t know if it escapes some people but the name did say Espresso Roast. Try popping it into your espresso machines and maybe you’d get a different result than what you had in a coffee brewer.

Personally, I enjoyed its rich flavor. Just the right amount of caramel sweetness to make the drink bearable but there’s still the full-bodied coffee flavor that you look for in an espresso drink. Also, I’d say the flavor is full enough to not be easily lost in milk or water, so it’s a rather great bean to use for making Cafe Americano or lattes.

I’d say the Starbucks Espresso Roast Blend is a great product for people who’re into the full and rich coffee experience espresso drinks offer. But this is just my opinion. I want to know how my other coffee loving friends gauge the Espresso Roast Blend. Let’s talk about it over a cuppa Joe?
