How Many Cups Of Coffee Do We Consume
I can say that I can consume somewhere between 3 to 6 cups of coffee a day. But that’s just me. It was this thought that got me thinking, just how much coffee does the world consume? I’m guessing these data I gathered online isn’t as accurate anymore, but I doubt that it’s far from the current data. Well, anyway, here are some of the facts I got.
- Coffee remains to be the most popular drink all over the world. Approximately 400 billion cups of coffee are consumed each year.
- Espresso consumption in the United Kingdom is mostly concentrated in the South East side of the country.
- Men actually drink more coffee than women.
- People prefer their coffee sweetened than plain black. 63% of coffee drinkers add sugar to their coffee as opposed to 37% who take it straight.
- Roughly 50% of American adults start their day off with a cup of coffee.
- Together, 100 million Americans consume about 350 million cups of coffee a day.
- The United States appears to be the world’s largest coffee-consuming country in the world. They import about 16 to 20 million coffee bags per year, approximating to about 2.5 million pounds of coffee. That’s a third of all coffee exported all over the world.
- The average American coffee drinker takes around 3.4 cups of coffee per day.
Wow, that’s a lot of coffee, if you ask me. But I want to know if you have any more coffee consumption trivia that you can share. I’d definitely appreciate it.
