Folgers Coffee Pods
I know a lot of people who don’t like using conventional coffee makers because they’d either make too much coffee that it goes stale after a while, or they mess up with the measurements that result to making a drink that either too strong or too weak. Most of these people have gone over to using single serve coffee makers and buying coffee pods for their convenience.
True enough, single serve coffee pods eliminate the need to measure the amount of coffee grounds to use. And using single-serve coffee makers eliminate the hassles of wasting extra coffee.
I’ve tried a handful of single-serve coffee pods and thought I’d give Folgers’ own take on it a try. I did see that it works best with Home Cafe Systems, so I guess I was lucky I bought one before. I’m not sure if it would come up with just as great a coffee if you tried it out on other makes.
Like many other coffee pod drinks, it didn’t take long for the drink to come out. I just put water on the reservoir, put the coffee pod on its respective tray, closed the lid, placed a mug under the spout, and pressed brew. Coffee came pouring out after 60 seconds.
The quality was just as good as I had it when I brewed ground coffee on a regular coffee maker, so I didn’t really have qualms about the single-serve pods. It was quick, easy, and just as tasty.
I’m glad that they offer four variants: the Classic Roast, Classic Roast Decaf, 100% Colombian, and French Vanilla. It would be nice if they could do the same for their coffeehouse series, though.
Have you given the Folgers’ Coffee Pods a try? What do you think of it?
